My name is Andre Kieft and I recently joined Rapid Circle and thus also the zevenseas network. For the last 10.5 years I have been working at Microsoft Netherlands. I initially started in Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) as a support engineer. Here I was active in several roles including support engineer, beta engineer and techlead. I had the privilege to work with almost every Microsoft product that existed at that time. In my last few years at support I mostly focused on the SharePoint products, which resulted in me transferring to the Information Worker team at Microsoft Services. As a consultant I was engaged in several big enterprise customer like AKZO, Deloitte, ING, Police, Rabobank and Reaal. During this time I also met Daniel as a colleague in consulting and we kept in touch ever since. After this I took on a new challenge as an Information Worker Partner Technology Advisor. Yes I know, a mouth full :-), but it mostly came down to spending 40% of my time helping our partners with readiness activities, another 40% helping partners with customer opportunities and the last 20% evangelizing Microsoft IW Products. Furthermore I have also spent time hosting workshops for my colleagues and partners trying to increase their personal productivity on Outlook and SharePoint. Not necessarily on how the products work, but rather on how you can work with the products so you can be more productive. In my opinion there is a lot that can be gained by everyone, just by using the existing software more effectively.
This past decade at Microsoft has been a great experience for me and for a large part made me who I am today, but after 10.5 years at Microsoft, I was ready for something new and got in touch with Wilco and Harold at Rapid Circle who had just started collaborating with zevenseas. A quickly growing Microsoft gold certified partner with a specific focus on collaboration and social media on the SharePoint platform; seems like a perfect match!
In my rol at Rapid Circle I will focus on SharePoint related matters in the broadest sence of the word. This means I can help customers making their requirements more smart, give architectural advice, or help out colleagues with existing projects and/or implementations of SharePoint. On the other hand I will also help in different key areas to stimulate the growth and long-term success of Rapid Circle.
