I’m very pleased to announce that zevenseas and Rapid Circle are joining forces!
The last 4 months have seen an enormous number of changes at zevenseas, however this is probably the biggest and best of them. It all started at this years “SharePoint Connections” conference, where Wilco Turnhout got down to some serious talking about Social Computing. Somewhere along the way, we got to thinking that the strengths of our two companies were incredibly complimentary.
zevenseas has developed a strong technical reputation, both locally (Robin just became an MVP), and globally (with 4 international conferences lined up starting with the UK). Rapid Circle has a strong reputation for creating innovative business solutions that ensure people collaborate more effectively, more and more often on SharePoint.
By combining forces we are able to bring greater resources to bear on engagements allowing us to do more, particularly in the area of Social Computing, where both companies have been passionately engaged! (Blogging Solution, Discussions, Twitter, Social Bookmarking, etc).
Mark and Robin moved into the very cool Rapid Circle office this month, and I’ve been spending time in there leading up to my departure from Europe.
Yes, thought I would sneak that in, that is the other big change. I was never going to be staying in Holland forever, though I didn’t think I would be leaving it for Pune, India, but that’s exactly what I’m doing. Over the past 9 months we have been building out a talented team of SharePoint experts, and I decided I wanted to be part of the team that releases some great new Social solutions for SharePoint.
So, nothing ever stays the same, but that’s not the important bit, the important bit is making sure the changes lead to something bigger and better than what went before. On this point, I know this is a change for the better.
