Remember the ‘This form was customized not working with attachment’ error when you tried adding an attachment to your custom editform/newform which was built using SharePoint Designer? Well, while reading Laura Rogers’'s blog, I came across her post indicating that Microsoft finally released a hotfix for this issue! ;)

Head over to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/960311 , download the hotfix and update your copy of SPD to create custom forms while maintaining the attachment functionality!

 

ps. Pretty funny to see that when googling on ‘This form was customized not working with attachment’, the first hit is the post on my old blog ;)

i installed this patch on my machine but still getting same java script error "This form was customized not working with attachment". Any idea how to get it resolved?

Anchal, i installed the hotfix, but I still getting the same error as you did. Have you found the solution yet? or anyone has found the solution?

I had the same issue. The key is that you need to re-create your customized NewForm, after you apply the patch.

The patch is really for SharePoint Designer. It had a bug when insert a Custom List Form, it missed some tags for attachment.

I Installed the hotfix,recreated the Newform and then added the CustomList but even then I get the same error. Can you please help me with this.

Update Sharepoint Designer - yes - but:
you also need to install the infrastructure update on your server.

or: sp2 for office servers ...
